Why the merge those two platforms?

Magento is a powerful feature-rich eCommerce oriented platform. However, the part responsible for giving its users possibility to manage non-catalog content is not flexible enough and it might not fit all the needs. To fill this gap we have decided to merge Magento with the enterprise CMS – eZ Publish.

How does it work?

Magento stays the main – controlling platform. All e-commerce related features are left untouched. The merge is made by creating embedded modules which gives:

  • - the embedded eZ Publish back office, but integrated with Magento back office
  • - possibility to receive embedded HTML content prepared by eZ Publish
  • - embedded components and possibility to receive functional blocks like menu, tree menu etc.
Moreover, there is still possibility to connect and use default eZ Publish back office with all of its features.
